Michael Olise remains focused on the 2026 World Cup, while Real Madrid are weighing a move for the Bayern Munich winger. With Bayern holding firm and a long contract in place, a deal looks complicated this summer.
According to Superdeporte, the French international, raised in England, moved to Crystal Palace for a little over nine million before Bayern paid 53 million in 2024 and tied him to 2029. The report suggests any operation now would have to be a world-record transfer and seems unlikely to be concluded during the tournament.
Olise has produced 42 goals and 54 assists in 107 games for Bayern, lifting his market value to 150 million. That figure could even prove low in any prospective transfer.
Florentino Pérez, having won Real Madrid’s presidential election, is still short of a marquee signing. An apparent big-money move for Julián Álvarez, made in the knowledge it would not be accepted, was seen as pure strategy, with Olise emerging as the best fit.
Ultimately the player’s stance will be decisive, yet Bayern hold the cards with his 2024 agreement running to 2029. Olise has stayed silent, but his club and international team-mate Upamecano spoke after the match against Paraguay and said he is staying.
