Michele Kang calls OL takeover the biggest challenge of her life | OneFootball

Michele Kang presented herself on Friday as OL’s new majority shareholder after an agreement was reached on 23 June.

According to Le Progres, more than 100 lawyers representing lenders, banks and factoring firms worked through days and sleepless nights on videoconferences and calls, while four rival takeover offers emerged in parallel. In the final days, Kang doubted the deal could be completed and considered stepping away.

She said that a few days before signing she questioned whether the transaction could be closed, before a childhood friend, unaware of the situation, shared a song whose message of resilience and hope resonated with her.

Kang described the process as the greatest challenge of her personal life.

The new owner has outlined a clear framework for what comes next, aiming to build over the long term and to attract additional investors.
