Notably, Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, is said to be very interested in the 23-year-old, appreciating his solidity and precision on the ball. The former Lazio executive is reportedly preparing to evaluate various profiles in England, and Murillo has now joined a shortlist that also includes Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and Chelsea’s Axel Disasi. Furthermore, despite Tare’s clear admiration for the player, it is emphasized that “no negotiations have been made” at this stage.

Indeed, any potential move for the 2002-born defender would be complex given Nottingham Forest’s financial standing. As one of the Premier League’s wealthier sides, Forest would likely only entertain a departure if presented with a significant economic opportunity.
