Millwall agree deal with Montpellier over Yanis Issoufou transfer | OneFootball

Millwall FC have reached an agreement with Montpellier HSC regarding the transfer of Yanis Issoufou (19), according to reports in L’Équipe.

Highly sought-after throughout this summer’s transfer window – with Schalke 04 leading the chase – the young winger is expected to sign for the Lions, currently sixth in the Championship, very soon. Initially reluctant to let their player go, MHSC have finally opened the door to his departure and are set to receive a fee of €2.5m from the deal.

A product of the Nîmes Olympique academy, Issoufou joined Montpellier in 2022, before making his professional debut there a year later. The 19-year-old has since made 31 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

Having featured in each of the four matches played by MHSC since the start of August (none as a starter), Issoufou took advantage of his substitute appearance against AS Nancy to open his goal tally for the season.
