Moroccan international Mohamed Rayhi is poised for a potential winter transfer away from Wydad Casablanca, according to exclusive reports. The club's management is reportedly open to his departure, provided they receive a satisfactory financial proposal, with interest primarily coming from a club in Qatar's Stars League.
However, negotiations for Rayhi's move are facing significant hurdles. The player and his representatives have yet to reach a final agreement on the terms presented to Wydad. His agent remains in Qatar to continue discussions, while Rayhi has been granted temporary leave from the club as his future is decided, awaiting either a completed transfer or a continuation of his stay in Casablanca.
Since joining Wydad in July 2024, Rayhi quickly established himself as a key offensive figure during the 2024/25 season. His notable performances, characterized by pace, dribbling ability, and tactical vision, made him an indispensable part of coach Amine Benhachem's setup. His form previously attracted a $1.2 million bid from Al Jazira last summer.
Born in Eindhoven, Netherlands, on July 1, 1994, Rayhi holds dual Dutch-Moroccan citizenship. Operating primarily as a winger or wide forward, he is recognized for his attacking power, technical skill, and strong left foot. His physical profile is well-suited to his role on the pitch. After early development in a local academy, he joined the prestigious PSV Eindhoven youth system in 2003, progressing through all age levels before making his professional debut with their reserve team in 2013.
His career path subsequently included spells at Dutch clubs NEC Nijmegen and Sparta Rotterdam, followed by experiences with several Saudi Arabian clubs, which provided valuable international exposure prior to his arrival at Wydad.
