Sébastien Pocognoli’s options up front are limited as his AS Monaco side travel north to face Stade Brestois on Friday evening.

Folarin Balogun was suffering with a muscular issue in the dying stages of last weekend’s win over Paris Saint-Germain and he misses out. Pocognoli says that it is more precautionary and the USMNT forward is expected back soon. George Ilenikhena is out with a minor injury of his own (knee), leaving Mika Biereth as the stand-out option. Having missed out on recent matchday squads, Paris Brunner is back in but he is not expected to start over the Denmark international.

Thilo Kehrer and Denis Zakaria, meanwhile, are suspended, limiting Pocognoli’s options in midfield and defence. The Principality club are also without Christian Mawissa, Eric Dier, and Ansu Fati.
