Monaco step up move for Farès Ghedjemis as second bid planned | OneFootball

AS Monaco have made Algeria international Farès Ghedjemis their priority for the right wing after seeing an opening offer rejected.

According to L'Équipe, Monaco tabled an initial bid worth seven million euros plus two million in add-ons, which Frosinone turned down, and a fresh proposal is expected in the coming hours.

With Maghnes Akliouche now a PSG player, head coach Filipe Luis said after Thursday's 1-0 win over Getafe that he hopes to add a right-sided winger quickly.

Left-footed Ghedjemis, a Troyes academy graduate, enjoyed a standout Serie B campaign, being named player of the season after scoring 15 league goals and supplying three assists. That form earned him a World Cup call-up with Algeria.

In recent days Frosinone have rejected two offers valued at 10 million euros from Celtic and Rangers. The 23-year-old is receptive to joining Monaco, and an agreement between the clubs could be reached around 10 million euros.
