Monaco’s Paris Brunner could face suspension after a throat-slicing celebration prompted criticism during the draw at Strasbourg.

The LFP’s Disciplinary Committee will examine the incident on 23 September, L’Équipe reports, which means the forward will be available for this weekend’s game against RC Lens.

Brunner, 20, has started strongly under new manager Filipe Luís, stepping up in the absence of Folarin Balogun and Matthis Abline. He has five goals in six appearances across all competitions, the latest a long-range strike that earned Monaco a point at RC Strasbourg Alsace. He then mimicked a throat-slitting motion in front of the home Kop.
