Montpellier agree Millwall deal for Yanis Issoufou | OneFootball

Montpellier have accepted an offer from Championship side Millwall for 19-year-old France U19 international Yanis Issoufou. According to L'Équipe, the French club agreed to the proposal on Monday night and have authorised the player to discuss terms.

Montpellier had tried to keep Issoufou despite approaches from five clubs in this window, but have now opened the door to his departure. Millwall were the most persistent suitors alongside Schalke 04.

The agreement is understood to be worth €2.5m. Issoufou may travel to England for a medical if a contract agreement is reached.

A former Nîmes youth player, he has made 31 appearances for Montpellier in all competitions, scoring four times.

One of those came this season, a winner at Nancy in a 1-0 victory on 14 August.
