Moses Sesay has made a flying start on loan at Colchester United. The Southampton teenager has three goals and one assist from seven League Two outings, including a stylish brace against Shrewsbury Town.

Capable in midfield and as a makeshift defender, the 19-year-old will hope that form translates back to St Mary's. According to Sainstmarching.com, Saints have also tied forward Baylee Dipepa to a new contract until 2029, viewing him as another homegrown talent despite recent injury setbacks.

Dipepa joined from Port Vale in 2024 and has been lively in the academy, scoring 17 in 40 appearances across the under-18s and under-21s. Director of Group Talent Strategy Andy Goldie unveiled the deal and described 2026 as a challenging year for the 19-year-old.

He already owns senior EFL experience, having broken through at League One Vale aged 16. Dipepa netted after 15 minutes to clinch a 1-1 draw at Wycombe in December 2023 and left with three goals and two assists from 725 minutes.

First-team minutes may be some way off, and a loan could follow once he is fully fit. He could also be kept in reserve, with Cyle Larin 31 and Divin Mubama only a temporary back-up.

The loan route is clearly aiding Sesay, and Southampton's pathway looks promising if Dipepa's development is managed correctly.
