Moussa Diaby returns to Bayer Leverkusen from Al-Ittihad on five-year deal

Bayer Leverkusen announced the return of Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad, with the French winger signing a five-year contract until 2031.

He will wear number 19 again in his second spell at the club.

Diaby left Leverkusen in 2023 for Aston Villa, then moved to the Saudi league a year later.

The 27-year-old returns after three seasons away.

Across his first stint in Germany he scored 49 goals and provided 47 assists in 172 matches.

Last season he made 21 goal contributions in 43 matches.
