Muharemović impresses in Nations League opener | OneFootball

Tarik Muharemović played the full 90 minutes for Bosnia and Herzegovina as they opened their UEFA Nations League campaign with a goalless draw against Poland in Warsaw.

The Leeds United defender started at the Stadion Narodowy, where 46,775 supporters watched a closely contested encounter end 0-0.

Muharemović was heavily involved in Bosnia and Herzegovina's build-up play, completing 69 passes, more than any other player on the pitch, from 88 touches.

He also made 28 carries for a combined distance of 246 metres, while defensively he recorded six clearances and two recoveries.

The 23-year-old also registered one key pass and was involved in one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's late opportunities.

With the visitors looking for a breakthrough, Muharemović helped create an opening for Ermin Mahmić, who struck from outside the box, but his effort sailed over the crossbar.

Neither side could find a decisive moment in the remaining stages, with the points shared in the opening fixture of the Nations League campaign.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will now turn their attention to their next fixture, when they travel to face Romania on Monday 28 September.
