With the rescheduled Matchweek 10 in the books, we bring you the best performers in their respective positions for the round, using the Roshn Saudi League’s unique Performance Index.
The explainer is just below, while you can use the filter option to select the appropriate matchweek and also choose from a number of formations.
The Team of the Week below is pegged to our traditional 4-4-2.
The RSL legend was his usual rock at the back as Al Shabab recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 3-1 victory in the home derby with Al Riyadh. Grohe, a title winner with Al Ittihad, made a game-high 10 recoveries, while his six saves ensured manager Nourredine Ben Zekri’s winning start sustains.
Well, it doesn’t get much better than this. The Spanish defender got two goals in Al Nassr’s thumping 5-0 win at bottom club Al Najmah, helped his side pick up a sixth successive RSL clean sheet and scooped the Man of the Match award. Oh, and Al Nassr went back top of the table. The perfect night?
Playing alongside Martinez, the Saudi Arabian centre-back continues to shine this season. Not only did Al Amri grab his own fifth clean sheet of campaign, but he topped the match for successful passes (53) and was joint-best when it came to interceptions (two) and successful dribbles (two).
Breaking up Al Nassr’s stranglehold of the backline, the Al Qadsiah defender retains his place in Team of the Week following his team’s superb 4-0 triumph in the Eastern Derby against Al Ettifaq. Al Ahmed completed a game-high 62 successful passes while only Mohammed Abu Al Shamat bettered his 77 total touches.
Rounding off our Al Nassr contingent, the Frenchman maintains his now-regular spot in the Best XI with an 11th clean sheet in 18 RSL appearances this term. No one in the clash at Al Najmah bettered Simakan’s six good long balls, while he was equal-best for recoveries (eight) and successful dribbles (two).
For the first time this season, we have a clean sweep of midfielders from a particular club. It’s appropriate the Al Qadsiah star starts us off given he opened the floodgates in the derby with Al Ettifaq, scoring only three minutes in and then quickly assisting Christopher Bonsu Baah for the second.
The display lifted Nandez to 12 goal contributions in 22 RSL games this season.
Not to be outdone, the German made sure he stole the headlines with the goal of the night - and arguably the round. Weigl’s thumping effort from the edge of the penalty area put the cherry on top of the derby cake, while he also contributed a joint-best two interceptions as Al Qadsiah’s title charge continues.

Al Qadsiah midfielder Julian Weigl scored the pick of the goals in the Eastern Derby win v Al Ettifaq
The reigning SPL Young Player of the Season did what he does best. Al Juwayr’s playmaking ability was there for all to see when he teed up Nandez for the opener against Al Ettifaq - his ninth assist of the campaign to move within two of 2025-26 leader Konstantinos Fortounis.
Al Juwayr also topped the derby for chances created (seven), successful through balls (two) and good long balls (eight).
The final of the Al Qadsiah quartet, the Saudi Arabia midfielder’s strong season shows no sign of abating. Against Al Ettifaq, Abu Al Shamat registered a game-high 96 total touches - a clear sign of just how important he’s become to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He is one of the reasons the Northern Irishman’s reign at the Al Khobar club has started brilliantly.
Like Martinez, full marks had to go to the Al Shabab forward, who scored all three goals in his team’s derby win against Al Riyadh.
The treble made it six goals in Carrasco’s past three RSL appearances and takes him to 13 for the season to sit joint-sixth in the 2025-26 scoring charts. A sixth Man of the Match award this term duly followed.
Still, when it comes to Man of the Match honours - the deciding factor for the Fans’ Player of Season - no one does it better in 2025-26 than Al Qadsiah’s on-fire striker (10).
Quinones kept up his hunt for the golden boot, too, grabbing his team’s third in the huge win against East Coast rivals to move to 22 for the campaign. He sits second, one back from Al Ahli hotshot Ivan Toney.
