Nabil Alioui joins a new experience in Saudi Arabia: Full details!
After his contract with Turkish second-division club Adana Demirspor came to an end, 26-year-old Moroccan midfielder Nabil Alioui has signed a new deal with Saudi Pro League side Damac FC, Africa Foot has learned.
Alioui, a product of French academies Monaco and Le Havre, also spent time in Belgium with Cercle Brugge before taking on this fresh challenge in Saudi Arabia. His arrival aligns with Damac’s strategy—based in Khamis Mushait—to strengthen their attacking midfield ahead of the new season.
A club insider told Africa Foot that Damac is banking heavily on Alioui’s technical ability and vision, honed during his time as a Morocco U-21 international, to help them secure a top-10 finish in the Saudi Pro League. With his experience across Europe, Alioui now looks to make his mark in one of football’s fastest-growing competitions.

The departure of Cameroonian winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, a key attacking pillar, may have accelerated Damac's decision to secure Alioui's signature. Once considered one of French football's brightest prospects, the Moroccan playmaker has seen his market value steadily decline—dropping from €4 million to just €1.6 million in recent months, per Transfermarkt.
For Damac, this represents a shrewd bargain—landing an experienced, technically gifted player on a free transfer. For Alioui, it’s a chance to reignite a career that once promised so much. The Saudi Pro League, with its growing global stature, offers the perfect stage for redemption.
Now, all eyes are on whether the former Monaco and Le Havre talent can rediscover his spark in one of world football’s most dynamic competitions. The pressure is on, but so is the opportunity.
