For his opening game as FC Nantes manager, Jocelyn Gourvennec will be looking to hand second-place OGC Nice their first defeat of the season, with a difficult game at La Beaujouire. Unfortunately for him, he’ll have to do without a few key players.

Fullbacks Quentin Merlin (21) and Fabien Centonze (27) are both yet to return from groin and hamstring injuries respectively, while Ignatius Ganago (24) is out for the season, following an ACL injury suffered during the last game against Le Havre. He’ll be hoping for a top performance from Brazilian winger Adson (23), who signed for the club last summer from SC Corinthians, though he has yet to truly show his worth.

Gourvennec will also count on top-scorer Mostafa Mohamed (26), who has bagged five goals this season, to provide runs and offensive availability against the best defence in the league, who have only conceded four goals in this Ligue 1 edition.

Alban Lafont; Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel, Eray Ervin Comert, Jean-Charles Castelletto, Jean-Kevin Duverne; Pedro Chirivella, Samuel Moutoussamy; Adson, Moussa Sissoko, Moses Simon; Mostafa Mohamed
