Napoli chief says Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa is ‘not for sale’ amid Sunderland links | OneFootball

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has insisted Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa is not for sale this summer, despite renewed links with Sunderland.

According to Il Mattino, the midfielder is due to meet head coach Max Allegri to assess whether he is surplus to requirements, and if a departure is sanctioned, Sunderland and clubs from Türkiye could act, with intermediaries already signalling the Black Cats’ interest and a valuation of about £12.8 million that Sunderland are currently reluctant to match.

Manna, speaking last week, said Napoli are focused on strengthening rather than weakening, noted Anguissa has a contract and saw no reason to negotiate, and maintained the midfielder would not be leaving.

Anguissa’s current deal runs until summer 2027, which gives Napoli room to keep him should Allegri want to retain him.

The former Fulham player has been a recurring name on Sunderland’s radar since their return to the Premier League last year.
