Napoli chief says Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa 'not for sale' amid Sunderland links

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has insisted Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa is not available this summer, despite fresh speculation linking the midfielder with Sunderland.

Il Mattino reports the 30-year-old will meet new head coach Max Allegri to clarify his status, and that if he is allowed to leave, Sunderland and clubs in Türkiye could move.

The report added that intermediaries have flagged Sunderland’s interest and that Napoli value Anguissa at around £12.8 million, with the Black Cats currently reluctant to pay that figure.

Speaking last week, Manna said Napoli do not plan to weaken their squad, that Anguissa remains under contract and that there is no reason to negotiate a departure.

Anguissa’s deal runs until summer 2027, which offers Napoli room to keep him if Allegri chooses to retain his services.
