Napoli chief says Anguissa not for sale amid Sunderland interest | OneFootball

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has dismissed the prospect of Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa departing this summer, despite renewed Sunderland links since their Premier League return last year.

Il Mattino reports that Anguissa is set for talks with head coach Max Allegri over his status, and that if he is cleared to leave, Sunderland and unnamed Turkish clubs could move.

The report adds intermediaries have already notified Napoli of the Black Cats’ interest. The 30-year-old is valued at around £12.8 million, with Sunderland said to prefer waiting for a lower fee.

Asked last week about the squad, Manna said Napoli’s objectives had not changed and they were not weakening the team. He added that Anguissa is under contract and there is no need to negotiate, concluding that he is not for sale.

The midfielder’s deal runs until summer 2027, giving Napoli breathing space should Allegri decide to keep him.
