Napoli need to sell before adding and are about to part ways with two fringe contributors, Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca, to make room for some new acquisitions. As for the former, Galatasaray have made strides in the talks both with the Azzurri and the player, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
Instead, Nottingham Forest have emerged as the most concrete landing spot for the Italian striker. The two clubs are ironing out a €1M loan with a €35M option to buy. The center-forward will choose once the sides concur on a deal. Pisa, the team where he first broke out, offered to bring him in for the next six months so he can play more regularly.
After completing the two departures, Napoli will look to replenish the squad. Youssef En-Nesyri and Raheem Sterling are the early candidates to replace those on the way out. Their hierarchy hasn’t decided whether they are the right targets at this stage.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, Galatasaray will propose a €2M loan plus a €30M option to buy for Lang. The winger is open to the destination.
The Partenopei expect Romelu Lukaku and Frank Anguissa to be available in short order, but have lost Matteo Politano and Amir Rrahmani for a while to thigh injuries.
They are indeed under the yoke of the Financial Fair Play, but, since the two castoffs will move through temporary formulas, it’s more of a narrative to justify the quick exits of two botched acquisitions. They are very depleted, so they’ll have to be extra quick in substituting for those who are departing, even if they weren’t fixtures. It wouldn’t be surprising if all went down to the last minute.
