Aurelio De Laurentiis, at the center of a legal case, has undoubtedly proven himself to be a forthright person and doesn’t hold back when he has something to say.
At the Gran Gala del Calcio, the Napoli president took a swipe at DAZN, live on national television. “Next year, let’s see if DAZN will abandon us like it abandoned France,” the Napoli president began.
Fabio Caressa, host of the event, broadcast exclusively on Sky, tried to stop him: “Let’s not put them in trouble, they’re our guests tonight and they’re working very well.” But it wasn’t enough.
“Well, they do a great job. When they have pro-Roma commentators, they don’t do a great job,” De Laurentiis bluntly stated, embarrassing those present. Last night, the Roma-Napoli commentary was entrusted to the Pardo-Stramaccioni duo, which likely provoked the Napoli president’s anger.
The host tried to defuse the situation, but the Napoli president responded in his own way: “Okay, let’s enjoy the prize, let’s not piss anyone off, let’s be Italian.”
