From Miami, Francesco Totti spoke to Sky Sport about various topics related to Roma.

The former number 10 is in Florida for the World Legends Padel Tour, where he was named best player of the Finals.

“It’s nice, but I would have preferred to win the tournament,” he began, commenting on the award.

Last night, Roma lost to Napoli at the Olimpico, losing once again in a direct clash.

Totti offered his take on the situation: “The season is still long. At this rate, Roma can have a say.”

He then added: “Roma is a good team, but there are better-equipped teams.”

Totti discussed his relationship with Daniele De Rossi. “I still speak to him often. I think he can do well at Genoa.”

Pressed by the interviewer, he then compared Conte and Ranieri: “They are two different coaches, but Ranieri’s work has been exceptional.”

Gian Piero Gasperini is expected to change Roma’s ambitions, and Totti has few doubts: “His work hasn’t been seen yet. If we’re so high up, it must be a good omen. It’s not yet the Roma we expected: let’s hope we can acquire the coach’s mentality.”

He concluded by naming Roma’s best player of last season: “I have few doubts. I’d say Svilar, even if I’m biased. He brought 10-15 points alone. When you have a player like that, ‘chapeau!'”
