Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has acknowledged interest in Sevilla youngster Juanlu Sanchez and hinted decisions could be weighed before the window shuts next week, per DAZN.
"He is a good player, promising, and we like him. We are working under less than optimal conditions, and before making any decisions, we must weigh them carefully. There are still a few days left, so we’ll see."
Sevilla remain under financial strain, despite major sales of Jules Kounde, Loic Bade and Dodi Lukebakio in the past three to four seasons. The club still need at least €10m from player sales before 30 June.
Potential exits have been discussed for Juanlu, Lucien Agoume and Ruben Vargas, with Napoli attentive to the right-back’s situation in Andalusia.
Even so, it would be a surprise if Sevilla sanctioned departures of leading players in the final days of the winter window, unless a bid arrives that is too good to refuse.
An exit appears likelier early in the summer, although plans could be shaped by the World Cup starting in mid-June. Sevilla want their price for Juanlu, and a sale at that level would ease this year’s accounts, though similar measures may still be needed in 2027.
