PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Central FC earning a 2-nil win over Moca FC in Group A on Tuesday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Jameel Neptune opened the scoring in the 39’, as he smashed a header off the crossbar to connect with a cross from Liam Burns, to place Central in front.
Burns was sent off in the 71’ after receiving a red card as part of an on-field scuffle.
Moca FC tried to take advantage of being up a man, but it was Central FC that delivered the dagger instead, when Tyrone Charles drilled in a beautiful curling free kick from a tough angle in the 78’.
The win marked the first of the current edition for the Trinidadian club. Moca FC is now on a six-game winless run in the Caribbean Cup – the longest for any Dominican club in tournament history (1 draw, 5 losses).
Central FC will host Mount Pleasant FA in its next Group Stage encounter next Tuesday.
Moca FC will take on Universidad O&M FC when it continues Caribbean Cup play next Wednesday.
