The Premier League champions are interested in adding Leicester City starlet Jeremy Monga to their ranks
Leicester City's disastrous 2025/26 campaign, which resulted in relegation to League One, hasn't dimmed the shine on 16-year-old starlet Jeremy Monga.
The 2009-born wideman first made headlines towards the tail end of the 2024/25 season, when Leicester were a soon-to-be-relegated Premier League club. His appearance off the bench against Newcastle United made him the second-youngest player in the league's history.
He broke numerous Championship records this past year, too, becoming the Foxes' youngest ever starter back in August, and followed that up by becoming the second-tier's youngest ever goalscorer, beating Jude Belligham's record when he netted against Preston North End.
Unfortunately, the early weeks of the campaign were when the excitement surrounding Monga peaked. That goal was the only one he scored this season, and he spent the majority of the campaign on the bench as Leicester ultimately succumbed to relegation.
Many felt that the 16-year-old deserved more than the eight league starts he was afforded to try to help save Leicester from the drop. Nevertheless, the Foxes will begin next season as a League One club for just the second time in their history, and they'll be incurring a real struggle to keep Monga at the King Power Stadium past this summer.

Despite it being over a year now since Monga made his professional debut, the winger is yet to sign professional terms at the King Power Stadium, as he is unable to do so until he turns 17.
The starlet's professional deal will kick in on his birthday in July, but his time at Leicester may not last much longer after that.
Indeed, according to The Athletic, Monga is the subject of interest from Premier League champions Arsenal, who are looking to continue their drive of recruiting young, emerging talent to ensure that their future is in good hands.
With the 16-year-old set to sign professionally at his current club, though, it allows Leicester to command a sizable fee for him, rather than face losing him for nominal compensation. The Athletic goes on to state that the Foxes are looking for a fee in the region of £10-£15 million.
An eight-figure fee for a talent in that age range isn't unheard of, but it is reserved for the brightest prospects in the game, such as when Jude Bellingham left Birmingham City for Borussia Dortmund for £22.75 million.
However, it's stated that the investment would be worth it for Monga, and Arsenal's owners are eager to bring in prospects who can grow in their system and have their value increased.

If Leicester manages to secure a £15 million fee for Monga, not only would that resemble the most expensive departure in League One history, but it would resemble pure profit for the Foxes, having overseen the 16-year-old's development through their academy.
There'd be some disappointment that they would be unable to develop him further and command a greater fee, but as a third-tier club, they will be powerless to make a sale, especially if some European giants come calling.
The ability to reinvest the transfer fee into the club, though, will easily soften that blow. Leicester were deducted six points this past season for financial breaches and overspending, so having that amount of money coming in for one of their assets will go a long way towards balancing the books.
It would also allow the Foxes, who are expected to be a powerhouse in the third tier anyway, to invest in some other players who can replace some of those expected to depart, along with Monga, in the coming months.
So, while a clear blow to lose such a promising star, who could have torn League One apart next season, the financial gain in the short-term will be a good silver lining if Arsenal's pursuit of the 16-year-old is successful.
