Napoli-owned Victor Osimhen is expected to be out of action for around six weeks after suffering a thigh strain while on loan at Galatasaray.
The striker joined the Turkish team on loan in September after failing to find a club prepared to both pay his asking price and meet his salary demands, as negotiations with Saudi Pro League sides and Chelsea broke down.
He scored his first goals for Galatasaray at the weekend, bagging a brace in the 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa.
However, the Nigeria international also left the field at half-time with a muscular problem and it would seem to be more serious than previously thought.
According to the latest reports, Osimhen has a significant thigh strain in his left leg and is expected to be out of action for four to six weeks.
This is not entirely news for Napoli supporters, because his stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona was also affected by numerous injury lay-offs.
That included a dislocated shoulder, a serious facial injury – which is why he wears his trademark mask – and repeated muscular issues.
