Troubling times brewing at Spurs?

A fantastic result for away from home for Matthias Jaissle's Toon Army sees Tottenham sit joint-bottom of the Premier League table, while Newcastle pick up four points from a possible six to kick-start the 2026/27 season.

Tottenham have four minutes of added time to pull off a miracle comeback.

Spurs supporters are leaving the ground in their numbers despite five minutes left to play, plus stoppage.

Ten minutes to avoid a disaster opening two weekends, but if you're in the Newcastle camp, you're surely confident of seeing this out to the end.

Should Spurs go on to lose, it will be the first time in the last 15 seasons that the club have suffered back-to-back defeats to begin a Premier League campaign.

The Magpies pull further away with a second dagger inside the final 20 minutes of action, with Yoane Wissa being at the right place at the right time to slot home inside the box!

Porro unleashes a long-range effort that looked destined for goal, but it goes out for a corner, which Spurs ultimately cannot convert.

Spurs grew into the half and ultimately carved out the best chances of the evening, with a handful of good saves from Lukás Hornícek keeping the Magpies on level terms.

Jan Paul van Hecke rises highest in the six-yard box to get on the end of Mateus Fernandes's inswinging corner, but a quick reaction save at close range from Hornícek denies the Dutch defender the opener.

We have reached the half-hour mark and the scoreline remains nil-nil, though you'd hardly bet against it staying that way.

And now it's Pedro Porro who has a pop at goal from inside the box after Spurs do well, yet again, to get forward, but his effort was blocked by Lewis Hall and out for a corner, which the London club could not capitalise on.

Spurs do well to bomb forward and find Mathys Tel in the Newcastle third, with the Frenchman cutting in on his right and unleashing a drive at Lukás Hornícek's goal, with the Czechia shot-stopper doing well to palm it away.

It's been Newcastle who have started brighter across the opening ten minutes away from home here, doing well to probe in advanced areas despite Spurs having more of the ball.

What a goal that could have been! Liam Millar jinks past two defenders and wrong-foots Rushworth, but his shot goes inches wide of the post. 

Everton are struggling for chances to get that equaliser at Bournemouth as Barry is about to shoot from a promising position, but loses the ball at the vital moment.

The Toffees go close early in the second period as Barry beats his man and fires towards goal. Petrovic gets down quickly to make another excellent save.

Taiwo Awoniyi is well placed to poke home and give Coventry the lead from close range, but Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis reacts well to save.

It's getting lively at the Vitality as Bournemouth have another go. Justin Kluivert lashes a stinging effort towards goal and Pickford reacts quickly to save.

Hull have a half-hearted penalty appeal as Stroud goes to ground in the box. Nothing given, there.

Everton are starting to show some confidence in attack as Thierno Barry reacts to Tyrique George's delivery and shoots straight at Petrovic.

Rayan bursts forward and drills a powerful shot straight at Jordan Pickford. Straightforward save for the Toffees keeper. 

Coventry's summer signing Loum Tchaouna tries to get things going and tries his luck from 20 yards out. The effort lacks direction and sails harmlessly over the bar.

Coventry vs Hull and Bournemouth vs Everton begin.

Liverpool come from behind twice to salvage a point against Forest thanks to Munoz's late equaliser.

The hosts are pushing for a late winner now and Dominik Szoboszlai's curling free-kick skims just past the post.

It's an Anfield debut goal for Victor Munoz, who controls Wirtz's pass inside the area, swivels and lashes in off the underside of the bar.

Munoz controls well on the wing, dribbles towards Forest's goal and his eventual shot is blocked by Williams.

Morgan Gibbs-White makes no mistake, sends Alisson the wrong way and finds the net. Forest lead 2-1.

Neco Williams draws a foul from the onrushing Alisson inside the area and it's a penalty to Forest.

Cody Gakpo gets into a dangerous position, pulls the ball across to Isak at the far post and the striker taps in for a real poacher's finish. 1-1 with 30 minutes to play...

Liverpool are pushing forward in search of the equaliser. Isak comes forward with intent towards Forest's area, but the attack breaks down and the visitors win a free-kick to ease the pressure.

Gakpo picks out Wirtz in the area with an excellent cross and the midfielder's header is clawed to safety by Matz Sels.
