Neymar and Gabigol joined celebrations for Davi Lucca, Neymar’s eldest son, who turned 15 on Monday, as Santos prepared to face Palmeiras in the Copa do Brasil.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the private event was for family and close friends, with football and beach tennis laid on, and a blue, black and white theme.

Players past and present close to the family attended, including midfielder Nenê. The 45-year-old now plays for Botafogo-PB and featured for Santos in 2003 and 2004.

Bruna Biancardi, Neymar’s wife, was there and shared images on social media, including a cake decorated with Davi Lucca’s initials and a dinosaur. Photos also showed Bruna and Carol Dantas together.

Gabigol, who is dating Rafaella Santos, Neymar’s sister, is part of the family circle.

Beyond Davi Lucca, Neymar has Mavie, two, and Mel, one, with his wife, who is pregnant with their third child. He is also father to Helena, two, with Amanda Kimberlly.

Neymar’s availability to face Palmeiras is not yet confirmed. He will be assessed by the coaching staff before Wednesday’s first leg at Nubank Parque at 21:30 Brasília time.

The return leg is set for 2 September at Vila Belmiro. The expectation is that he will be available for the derby against Corinthians on Sunday, 30, at 16:00, at Neo Química Arena in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
