Neymar returned to pitch training on Sunday and should be among the starters when Santos visit Mirassol on Tuesday in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, according to Diario Do Peixe.

The number 10 completed technical and tactical drills under head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda after three days of indoor strength and load management work at CT Rei Pelé.

His time away from ball work this week was treated as precautionary, with no concern flagged for the next fixture.

Beyond Mirassol, Neymar views that game and the meeting with Corinthians on 15 March at Vila Belmiro as important chances to push for a Brazil recall.

Vojvoda has no suspension or injury issues in the main group and should have almost the entire squad available. The exception is centre back Lucas Veríssimo, a recent signing who remains in Qatar resolving logistics amid the Middle East conflict, and has not yet travelled to report to the club.
