Neymar completed full training with Santos on Sunday at CT Rei Pelé, the penultimate session before Tuesday’s trip to Mirassol in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. According to Globo.com, he will be available to start for Juan Pablo Vojvoda on Tuesday.
The No 10 had skipped tactical work for the previous four days for load management aimed at avoiding injury, but on Sunday he participated without restriction.
His personal staff adjusted the workload and are actively involved in decisions about the player at the club. He was held back from sessions during the week to prevent unnecessary muscle strain.
Vojvoda will finalise the starting XI on Monday after the last training session, though Neymar should begin the game as he looks to convince Carlo Ancelotti to recall him to the Brazil squad as soon as possible.
The CBF will publish its final squad for Brazil’s late March friendlies on 16 March. Before then Santos face Corinthians at Vila Belmiro, and Neymar’s chance of a call-up only depends on him playing an active part in both matches.
