Neymar’s sister shares childhood photo in Palmeiras shirt for his birthday

Rafaella, Neymar’s sister, marked his 34th birthday by posting a childhood photo that appears to show him in a Palmeiras shirt.

"I used to support Palmeiras, then I started supporting Santos when I turned professional. I had great affection for Santos, so I became a Santos fan," Neymar said on Lady Night on Canal Multishow in 2017.

The link to Palmeiras was suggested by the shirt’s collar, similar to the club’s 1994 design, and by part of a champions patch visible in the image.

In the picture, a young Neymar hugs Rafaella while wearing a green and white top.

Recovered from an arthroscopy on his left knee, he is preparing to return to the pitch and make his season debut. He recently extended his Santos deal until the end of this year.
