Nice will pay tribute to Éric Roy before facing Lorient on Saturday.

According to L'Équipe, the first-round Ligue 1 fixture, which kicks off at 20:45, will be dedicated to the former player and coach.

A minute’s silence will be observed before kick-off, and a photograph of Roy will be placed beside the Nice bench.

Roy died in June, aged 58, from pancreatic cancer. He both played for Nice and later managed the club.

The club had already renamed the press room in his honour in mid-July.
