After the opening-day meeting between PSG and Rennes was switched to Roazhon Park because of the Parc des Princes pitch, it is not assured the return game on 6 March 2027 will be flipped.

According to L'Équipe, the Ligue 1 curtain-raiser, scheduled for Sunday at 20:45, will now be played in Brittany rather than in Paris for that reason.

The LFP’s administrative regulations, article 501, state that if a fixture cannot be staged at a fallback venue, the competitions commission may invert it to the away team’s ground, and such an inversion does not affect the remainder of the calendar.

That means there is no automatic swap of the return fixture, so Rennes could end up hosting PSG twice this season.

As it stands, the reverse game remains scheduled for the weekend of 6 March 2027.
