According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Nico Elvedi makes his Leeds United debut as Daniel Farke makes six changes for tonight’s Carabao Cup second round at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.

The clubs meet again four days after Saturday’s Premier League opener, a 1-0 Leeds win at the same venue. Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic and Harry Wilson debuted then, while Elvedi stayed unused despite preparing to come on. Farke said on Monday the Swiss defender was in excellent shape.

New no 1 James Trafford starts again in goal. Five starters from Saturday keep their places, including captain Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Muharemovic and James Justin. The only defensive change sees Elvedi in for Jayden Bogle, who drops to the bench.

Noah Okafor makes his first start in three months after a calf injury and an extended break following Switzerland’s World Cup quarter-finals. He and Dan James start out wide. Harry Wilson, Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin move to the bench, with Lukas Nmecha leading the line.

Sean Longstaff and Ao Tanaka replace Anton Stach and Jaka Bijol, and Leeds appear set to use a back four. Willy Gnonto, Gabi Gudmundsson and Ilia Gruev are ruled out.

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest: Trafford, Justin, Muharemovic, Rodon, Elvedi, Ampadu, Tanaka, Longstaff, James, Okafor, Nmecha. Subs: Perri, Cresswell, Lienou, Bogle, Bijol, Stach, Aaronson, Wilson, Calvert-Lewin.
