Nico González transfer to Newcastle nets Porto about €560,000

FC Porto are set to receive about €560,000 from Nico González’s move from Manchester City to Newcastle, according to O Jogo.

The Spaniard has been announced by Newcastle in a deal worth £48 million, roughly €56 million, with a further €4.6 million in potential add-ons.

The payment arises from the solidarity mechanism, with Barcelona due the largest share at €1.96 million, Porto about €560,000, and Valencia €280,000.

Porto sold Nico to Manchester City a year and a half ago for €60 million.

Barcelona trained the midfielder and Valencia hosted him for one season, which underpins their portions of the distribution.
