West Brom are interested in SK Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre amid speculation over his future. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Baggies want to strengthen head coach James Morrison's midfield before the new Championship season.

The 27-year-old Norway international is also being monitored by La Liga side Elche.

Asked whether he would prefer Elche in Alicante or West Brom in the Black Country, Myhre kept it playful. “I honestly don’t know. The temperature in Spain is tempting after a summer like this.”

Capped seven times, he is regarded as one of the Eliteserien’s standout midfielders. In Norway, a bidding battle has been suggested for his signature.

The Brann player, primarily a number eight, has about 18 months left on a contract that runs to December 2027. Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt and Danish side Brondby have also been linked.

Brann were the former club of Albion striker Aune Heggebo, who joined in a £4.7 million deal last summer. Myhre narrowly missed out on Norway’s World Cup squad, which included former Baggies defender Torbjorn Heggem.
