Marcelino Nunez made the controversial switch from Norwich City to Ipswich Town last summer
Ipswich Town sealed automatic promotion to the Premier League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over QPR on the final day.
Goals from George Hirst and Jaden Philogene in the opening 10 minutes put Kieran McKenna’s side on track for a routine win, with Kasey McAteer rounding out a special afternoon with an 85th minute strike.
The Tractor Boys finished second in the table, one point clear of Millwall in third, to reclaim their place back in the top flight after just one year away.
The Suffolk outfit came 19th in the division last year, so will be hoping to improve on that and survive beyond just one season in the Premier League.
It could be a busy summer ahead for McKenna, who will now look to build a team capable of competing over the next 12 months.
But first the club got to celebrate their promotion with a parade in front of the fans in the city with an open top bus - and it's caused a little bit of controversy.

Summer signing Marcelino Nunez issued a message to his former club Norwich City during the team’s parade in the city in celebration of their promotion.
The midfielder made the controversial switch from Carrow Road to Portman Road, crossing the divide of the East Anglian derby, and supporters of the Canaries won’t be pleased with his choice words.
“F*** off Norwich!” screamed Nunez on Town's party bus, in footage shared from the live stream of Ipswich's celebrations.
“Come on, Tractor Boys, come on.
“Ready for Premier, let’s go!”
Nunez signed for Ipswich late in the summer transfer window last year in a deal worth an initial £7.2 million, with an additional £2.5 million in add-ons.
The Chile international has gone on to make 36 appearances in the Championship for the Tractor Boys, including 24 starts, contributing three goals and seven assists.
The 26-year-old proved an important part of McKenna’s side as they claimed their place back in the Premier League, but without the midfielder, Norwich missed out on the Championship play-offs by finishing in ninth, although they were one of the form teams in the second half of the campaign under Philippe Clement.
And whilst Nunez has played his part in Ipswich's rise back to the top flight, perhaps his most memorable moment of the season was a negative one on his return to Carrow Road in April - the Tractor Boys may have won, but his cameo appearance off the bench, where he was nearly sent off and was then substituted off the pitch by Kieran McKenna, was a somewhat awkward few minutes for the South American.

It was surprising when Norwich sanctioned the exit of such an important part of the squad to such a fierce rival.
Nunez had impressed in the previous campaign at Carrow Road, and the fee received for his exit wasn’t particularly notable given the club that were willing to buy him.
And the deal has worked out extremely well for the Suffolk outfit, who will now be hoping the midfielder can play a key role in keeping the club in the Premier League next year.
Nunez’s departure was never going to go down well with Norwich fans, but he has certainly endeared himself to the Ipswich supporters over the course of the season.
