Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Vítor Pereira has been appointed as their new head coach on an 18-month deal.

The Midlands side announced that they had sacked Sean Dyche very early on Thursday morning after their 1-1 draw against Wolves in the Premier League.

The Portuguese manager becomes Forest’s 4th match of the season after Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Dyche were all sacked earlier in the campaign.

Most recently Pereira was manager of Wolves, but he was sacked in November 2025 with the club bottom of the table and winless.

However, he was instrumental in keeping Wolves up last season. Even though he took over the club when they were in 19th, with only nine points from 16 games, huge wins over Tottenham and a league double over Manchester United saved the side from relegation. Wolves also scored more goals last season, than they have in any other Premier League season.

Pereira will be joined by coaching staff Filipe Jorge Monteiro Almeida (Assistant Coach), Luis Miguel Moreira Da Silva (Assistant Coach), Bruno Filipe Araujo De Moura (Head of Physical Performance and Opposition Analysis), and Pedro Simao Capela Silva Lopes (Opposition Analyst).
