Leeds United’s home fixture against Nottingham Forest will be dedicated to ‘Premier League With Pride’, a new initiative developed by the league to support LGBTQ+ History Month.
The Elland Road meeting between the two Premier League sides on Friday 6th February will provide an opportunity to further demonstrate the club’s and the league’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion and make it clear that football is for everyone.
Premier League With Pride represents a move away from a single campaign moment towards a more flexible, year-round approach to LGBTQ+ inclusion, focusing on education, celebration and belonging.
Leeds United and the Premier League work together year-round to celebrate and promote LGBTQ+ inclusion, including continuous collaboration with Marching Out Together - the club's official LGBTQ+ supporter's club, along with ongoing initiatives through the Leeds United Foundation to ensure that Elland Road is inclusive for all.
The Foundation, collaborating with the Premier League’s Primary Stars, Kicks, and Inspires programmes, help to educate young people about the importance of active allyship and inclusion in their delivery, and will be delivering workshops about LGBTQ+ History Month throughout February.
To celebrate this dedicated fixture, members of Marching Out Together will appear pitchside before kick-off at Elland Road. Representatives will also feature in the LUTV matchday show leading up to the game, with the hosts wearing special Marching Out Together badges to raise further awareness.
We can all play a part in reporting homophobic and transphobic abuse or chanting. If you see it, please make sure you challenge it and report it. Football is for everyone.
