Nottingham Forest face Coventry City at the City Ground in their final game before the international break, and they could be without up to three players.

According to Nottingham Post, Nikola Milenkovic is out of Saturday’s Premier League match with a hamstring injury and is expected back only after the break. He missed the 2-1 win at Aston Villa. Fellow centre-back Jair Cunha has a similar problem and, while Oliver Glasner is hopeful, Forest will be cautious.

Both had trained before the Aston Villa fixture, but late Friday scans showed hamstring tightness, ruling them out and forcing a reshuffle less than 24 hours before kick-off.

Murillo had knee trouble yet insisted he was fine to play and completed the full 90 minutes. Ola Aina moved to the right of the back three and Ousmane Diomande made his first Premier League start.

Despite the setbacks, Forest claimed their first league victory of the season, beating Villa 2-1 thanks to Liam Delap and Igor Jesus. Glasner praised his side’s resilience.

The break looks well timed, particularly for Milenkovic. After Saturday, Forest are not in action again until October 11, when they face Glasner’s former club Crystal Palace.

Defender Nicolo Savona is the only other injury absentee. Out since January after knee surgery, he is progressing and Glasner says he remains on schedule, with Forest taking care to avoid setbacks. He could return to the grass during or just after the break.
