Nottingham Forest are assessing Sevilla full-back Oso as a possible signing as Oliver Glasner prepares to take charge following Vitor Pereira’s exit.

ABC Sevilla reports Forest and Newcastle United have asked about the 22-year-old. He has 12 months left on his contract.

Villarreal, Real Sociedad, Fiorentina and Strasbourg are also linked. Sevilla reportedly need funds and could sell, with a €20 million (£17m) clause but talk of a fee about half that.

Talks over a new deal began after his breakthrough but are said to be far apart, so Sevilla may consider offers this summer.

Oso can operate at left-back, wing-back or on the wing. He is coming off a breakthrough La Liga season with 2 goals and 3 assists in 30 appearances.

Forest are yet to make a summer signing, though funds rose after Elliot Anderson’s £116 million move to Manchester City. Replacing the midfielder is a priority, with full-back options also being weighed.

On the left Neco Williams is first choice, with winter-window addition Luca Netz as cover and Ola Aina also an option. The right side may need reinforcement, with Nicolo Savona likely to depart.
