Nottingham Forest move for Andre appears over after £10m bid | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Corinthians midfielder Andre appears to be over after their £10m summer bid was rejected and momentum around a possible January move has faded.

According to Itatiaia, the option for him to join in the new year is no longer valid. A Premier League move is still thought to appeal to the 20-year-old.

The same stance applies to Forest’s sister club Olympiacos, who had also explored a deal. Their proposal is said not to have pleased Corinthians. Andre is now said to be seeking new opportunities, with a view to moving elsewhere in 2027, either in winter or next summer.

Forest’s £10m offer was met by a counterproposal and, for a time, talks were said to continue as the Reds tried to reduce a £15m valuation.

Club figures had indicated any agreement could be concluded with delivery at the end of the Brazilian season, with a possible January exit that would aid finances despite a sporting cost.

Andre had also been courted by AC Milan earlier this year, but that move collapsed. Forest later added Xaver Schlager after losing Elliot Anderson to Manchester City and monitored Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Bergvall and Everton’s Harrison Armstrong.
