Nottingham Forest are ready to let £10million signing Cuiabano leave on loan before the end of January, while assessing options at left back that include Kostas Tsimikas. According to NY Times, Forest want further depth on that flank.

Cuiabano, 22, featured for the B team against PSG on Monday and is yet to play for the first team. He rejoined Botafogo on loan after signing and returned last month.

Forest are open to finding him another move. A loan to Rio Ave or Olympiacos within Evangelos Marinakis’s group is seen as most likely.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has started only four Premier League games on loan from Arsenal. His stay is expected to be cut short to enable a loan to Ajax.

Tsimikas, 29, is on loan at Roma and has made only four Serie A starts. Roma would consider ending that deal if they secure a replacement.

Forest looked at him last summer before his Roma move. He would add Premier League know-how, with 66 appearances for Liverpool across five seasons.

Cuiabano’s pace suited Nuno Espirito Santo’s counter-attacking style. Under Sean Dyche, who prioritises a solid back four, his fit is less certain.

Neco Williams and Ola Aina can fill in on the left despite being right sided, and Williams has been consistent there this season.
