Leeds applied early pressure before Igor Jesus forced James Trafford into a strong header save. Ola Aina was booked for a foul on James Justin, VAR checked but did not upgrade it. Forest then saw Harry Wilson’s finish ruled out for offside and grew into the half as Nikola Milenkovic struck the post, with Jesus unable to turn in the rebound.

After the break Chris Wood, on seconds after coming on, drove a Murillo pass goalwards but missed the target. Matz Sels later saved well from Tarik Muharemovic with 20 minutes remaining.

Sels was given 6/10, while Milenkovic received 5/10. Ibrahim Sangare impressed most among the starters with 7/10, and Igor Jesus and Chris Wood were both handed 6.5/10. From the bench Luca Netz earned 7/10, with Xaver Schlager and Arnaud Kalimuendo on 6/10, as several others were marked at 6/10.
