Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Colombia international Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace on a three-year contract, with the option of a further year, in a £22m deal.

According to NY Times, the 30-year-old reunites with head coach Oliver Glasner after a decorated spell together at Selhurst Park.

During that period they won the FA Cup, then the Conference League and a Community Shield, with Munoz named man of the match in the 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

Munoz began at Aguilas Doradas, making his senior debut in 2017, before joining Atletico Nacional in 2019. He moved to Genk in 2020, made 122 appearances and scored 16 goals, helping them win the Belgian Cup in 2021.

He then made 88 Premier League appearances for Palace, all starts, scoring eight goals. He has 51 caps for Colombia.

The wingback role underpinned Glasner’s success at Palace, and will again as he looks to lift Forest up the Premier League table. Munoz could make his debut when Forest face Tottenham Hotspur at The City Ground on Saturday.

His arrival increases competition on the right, with Ola Aina impressing in the position at Anfield on Saturday.
