Benfica have signed 19-year-old Brazilian winger Alan Santos on a permanent deal, and he will begin with the under-23s.
"It is the biggest in Portugal. I am very happy to wear this shirt," Alan Santos told BTV. "Throughout the season, Benfica fans will see my quality, will enjoy and will know who Alan Santos is."
In 2026, he featured in 17 matches for Flamengo’s under-20s, scoring five goals. His four seasons at the club preceded the move to Lisbon.
Nuno Campos, who coached him at Flamengo, offered a positive assessment. "He is very technical, strong one on one and finishes very well. He is a player who has goals and is a difference-maker," he told A BOLA.
Campos also highlighted his versatility. "Alan can play on either side and also up front with a striker if they choose to play with two forwards, with one being more mobile."
