Nuno Mendes given three-match ban after Trophée des champions red | OneFootball

PSG defender Nuno Mendes has been suspended for three matches after he was sent off against Lens in Sunday’s Trophée des champions, which finished 0-1.

According to L'Équipe, the 24-year-old will miss PSG’s game at Rennes on Sunday at 20:45, now set for Roazhon Park. He will also sit out the fixtures against Lille and Monaco on matchdays two and three.

In the 39th minute of that match, Kyllian Antonio received a straight red card for a dangerous challenge on Maghnes Akliouche in the centre circle.

Mendes was then dismissed in the 87th minute for elbowing the Polish player Michal Skoras near the halfway line.

The LFP disciplinary commission has also banned Antonio for two matches.

The Rennes meeting marks the resumption of Ligue one.
