Nyland has agreed a contract with RB Leipzig until June 2028 after leaving Sevilla and will join as a free agent, according to Superdeporte.
It marks a return to a familiar club. Nyland spent 2022/23 with Leipzig, playing only three competitive matches before heading to Sevilla, where he became first choice for long stretches.
The 35-year-old Norway international enhanced his reputation at the 2026 World Cup, helping his side reach the quarter-finals. He was especially influential in the last-16 win over Brazil. His displays attracted interest from several European clubs.
Leipzig had been seeking a replacement for Péter Gulácsi and have turned to a goalkeeper who already knows the set-up.
This second stint presents a different scenario from his first, with Nyland aiming to earn a place in a team that will again compete in the Champions League.
