RB Leipzig have, according to Sky Germany, completed the signing of Ørjan Nyland, with the experienced goalkeeper set to return to Saxony after three years away from the club. The 35-year-old is expected to replace Péter Gulácsi, who is closing in on a move away from Leipzig.
Nyland previously joined Leipzig in 2022 as an emergency signing after Gulácsi suffered a serious knee injury. The Norwegian made several appearances during that period before leaving the club at the end of the season.
Nyland brings plenty of international experience to Leipzig, having earned more than 70 caps for Norway and previously played in Germany for FC Ingolstadt 04 before his first spell with RB. He recently shined at the 2026 World Cup, keeping his nation in the contest with multiple saves.
