According to Diario Vasco, Álvaro Odriozola has been left out of Real Sociedad’s Europa League List A because of injury. The 25-player list has been submitted to UEFA and is in principle fixed until January.

Odriozola is still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee sustained on 21 February.

The squad includes Remiro, Kubo, Oyarzabal and Barrenetxea, with every first-team player registered except Odriozola. In a quirk of registration, Zubeldia is listed among midfielders despite seven years as a centre-back, and Oyarzabal is also classed as a midfielder.

Jon Martín, a mainstay on the left of defence this season, is absent from List A but will play in Europe via List B as he meets UEFA’s age and club-trained criteria. Born on 23 April 2006, he came through the Real academy.

UEFA permits an unlimited number of List B registrations during the season, to be filed by 23:59 the day before each tie. Marchal, Carrera, Dani Díaz and Aguirre are among those who can be added.

Beyond goalkeeper Fraga, two more Sanse players are on List A, including Luken Beitia, who was born in 2004. Real begin their Europa League campaign against Bournemouth on 17 September at 21:00 at Anoeta.
