Official: Augsburg acquire promising Düsseldorf defender Sima Suso | OneFootball

FC Augsburg have confirmed the arrival of another promising talent in Sima Suso ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The 21-year-old joins FCA from Fortuna Düsseldorf and has signed a long-term contract in Augsburg until 30 June, 2031. 

Last season the defender, who is also capable of playing in midfield, made 24 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring one goal.

Suso, who progressed through the Bayer Leverkusen academy, has also earned four caps for the German U-20 national team. 

“Sima brings an extremely exciting player profile. He is versatile and, despite his young age, already has a wealth of competitive experience.

"The fact that he played regularly in the 2. Bundesliga last season underlines his great potential and quality.

"We are very pleased that he has chosen to join us,” explained FCA sporting director Benni Weber upon the defender's arrival.
